ORCHESTRA
Orchestra: Grades 7-10
Elevator Music: April 1 For an April Fool's Day joke, we fit a cello, four violins, tenor sax, alto sax, flute, vibraslap, and bongos in the elevator and rode it up and down between fifth floor and first floor playing music. Some people got the joke. Most people were surprised and pleasant. The music wasn't out best in a crowded elevator, but it was a lot of fun. In case you can't tell, the song is called Mambo Number Five. |

Beginning Violins: Grades 5-6

I have six students in beginning violins. Two of them have never played before this year. I have been working on American fiddle music with them because it provides multiple challenges for any level of performer. We did not begin class until mid-October. The video at the left was made during the second class period. You will hear and see why I love this class! |
