APPLYING TO COLLEGE
Applications to colleges/universities may be made through centralized application centers or through online applications directly with the university. You will need to study the websites for the individual universities to learn how to apply and recognize their posted deadlines.
Some examples of countries that use centralized application centers:
United States: the Common App
United Kingdom: UCAS
Australia: UAC - Universities Admission Center
France: APB - Admission Post-Bac
Germany: Uni-assist
Netherlands: Studielink
Republic of Ireland: CAO - Central Applications Office
Sweden: University Admissions
Important: Even in countries (including the ones above) where there is a centralized applications center, that center may not be used by all universities in the country. Always check directly with the university to understand the application process it requires.
